Why this course

The person who's already there is the one who saves the life

In an active violence incident or a catastrophic injury, the people on scene in the first minutes are almost never paramedics. They’re officers, teachers, security staff, range instructors, coworkers. Whether that person can stop a bleed comes down to whether somebody trained them.
This course makes you that somebody. You’ll learn Tactical Emergency Casualty Care to the nationally recognized C-TECC Guidelines, and you’ll learn how to teach it — so you go home able to build and run the program inside your own organization.

No previous medical
training is required.

How it works

Hybrid, so your classroom time isn't spent on lectures

You complete the academic material online, at your own pace, before you show up. That means the two days on site are spent on your hands and on your feet — practicing skills and practicing teaching.

Step one · Before class

Self-paced online coursework

Complete the academic foundation on your own schedule through the Trilogy EMS learning platform.

Step two · On site

Two-day intensive

Hands-on skills, instructor development, and classroom presentation technique.

Step three · Evaluation

Skills & presentations

Demonstrate the skills, then demonstrate that you can teach them.

Step four · Application

Scenario-based teaching

Run realistic scenarios as the instructor, not the student.
