Online Healthcare Simulation Educator Training, Built Around the CHSE® Blueprint
Two courses, one program. Learn what the simulation evidence actually says, then build scenarios, debriefs and assessments you can defend to any accreditor, medical director or budget committee.

You inherited the habits of whoever trained you, the good ones and the bad ones, with no framework for telling them apart. And the questions keep getting harder: What does the evidence show? Is that instrument valid? Why did this cost what it cost? This program gives you the answers, with the citations.
of 278 latent safety threats tracked in one national follow-up study were resolved at three months. Finding problems is easy. Closing them is the skill.
average difference between high- and low-fidelity simulation across 24 studies. The expensive manikin is rarely what drives learning. Design is.
rater agreement for the same debriefing instrument in two different settings. Validity belongs to how a tool is used, not to the tool.
Built for the people who run the simulation
If you design, facilitate, debrief or manage simulation in any clinical or public safety discipline, this program was written for you.
Two courses that do two different jobs
One teaches you what the field knows and how to defend it. The other teaches you to build faster, with AI doing the drafting and you owning every clinical element that reaches a learner.
Healthcare Simulation Professional Practice
The evidence base, stated honestly: effect sizes, confidence intervals, and exactly where the evidence runs out.
- Simulation modalities and fidelity: what actually drives effect
- Human factors, systems thinking and patient safety
- Interprofessional simulation
- Advanced facilitation, feedback and debriefing
- Assessment, reliability and validity
- Simulation research and evidence appraisal
- Quality improvement through simulation
- Simulation operations and technology
- Program administration, budgeting and sustainability
- Virtual simulation and emerging technology
- Simulation leadership and advocacy
- Professional practice integration
Certified Scenario Architect — Practitioner
Design complete, defensible training scenarios with AI, and validate every element before it reaches a learner.
- Foundations of scenario-based training
- How AI works, and where it fails in clinical content
- Prompt engineering for reliable scenarios
- Building complete scenario narratives
- Dynamic design: branching and escalation
- Instructor control and scenario execution
- Scenario libraries and version control
- Localizing to your protocols, equipment and population
- Safety, ethics and legal defensibility
- Capstone: an instructor-ready scenario package of your own
Every CHSE® blueprint domain, covered
The Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator exam is organized into four domains. Together, these two courses cover all four: the professional knowledge the credential is built on.
| CHSE® blueprint domain | Where the program covers it |
|---|---|
| Professional Values, Capabilities & Leadership | Evidence appraisal, simulation leadership and advocacy, professional practice integration (HSP-100) |
| Healthcare & Simulation Knowledge and Practices | Human factors and patient safety, interprofessional simulation, quality improvement (HSP-100) |
| Education Principles Applied to Simulation | Fidelity, facilitation, debriefing, assessment and validity (HSP-100), plus the complete scenario design method (SA-100) |
| Simulation Resources & Environments | Operations, technology, budgeting and virtual simulation (HSP-100), plus scenario libraries and version control (SA-100) |
Precision you can take into any room
Most simulation training repeats claims the literature doesn’t support. This program teaches you to state every claim at exactly the strength the evidence carries, which is what makes people take your advice.
Built on primary sources
Real studies, real numbers, and both sides of the arguments the field hasn’t settled.
AI as an accelerator, not an author
Draft scenarios in a fraction of the time while keeping full clinical ownership of every output.
Tools, not just theory
Checklists, templates and validation steps you use at your desk the day you finish.
Every discipline, one method
Nursing, medicine, EMS, fire, law enforcement and sim operations. The design principles transfer.
Start today. Finish on your schedule.

Frequently asked questions
Is the program fully online?
Yes. Both courses are 100% online and self-paced inside the Trilogy Schoolhouse. There are no live sessions to schedule around.
Can I buy just one course?
Yes. HSP-100 is $695 and Scenario Architect is $595 on their own. The full program is $895, a $395 savings over buying both separately.
How does this relate to the CHSE® certification?
Together the two courses cover all four domains of the CHSE® exam blueprint. They’re built for simulation educators working toward the credential.
Do I need experience with AI?
No. Scenario Architect starts from how these tools actually work and builds from there. If you can brief a role player, you can learn to prompt well.
Is this only for EMS?
No. It’s written for anyone who designs or runs simulation: nursing and medical faculty, sim center staff, hospital educators, and EMS, fire and law enforcement trainers.
Both courses. One program. $895.
Everything you need to design, run, assess and defend simulation.
