EMT and paramedic refresher courses, finished on your schedule.
Renewal should not cost you a shift, a weekend, or a drive across the state. Every refresher below is Florida approved, fully online, and completed at your own pace. Certificate the day you finish.
Three refreshers. Pick the one your license needs.
The hours you need depend on what you are renewing. Find your row, take that course, and be done with it.
EMT Refresher — 40-Hour Online Course
A full review of EMT-level practice: patient assessment, airway and respiratory, cardiovascular, medical and trauma care, special patient populations and EMS operations.
Florida Approved 30-Hour Paramedic Refresher
Thirty hours of Florida approved continuing education for licensed paramedics, built for people who need the hours without rearranging a work schedule.
Paramedic Refresher — 60-Hour Online Course
The comprehensive program. A structured review of advanced prehospital practice across airway and respiratory, cardiovascular care, medical, trauma, special populations and operations.

We care how far you go, not just that you renewed.
A refresher keeps your license current. It is not the end of your education, and we do not treat it that way. Buy a refresher today and what you pay in tuition comes back to you as a credit toward your next course with Trilogy.
Any Trilogy course priced over $500 qualifies. Your $179 refresher becomes $179 off the EVOC Instructor Course, the Dive Medical Technician course, the Unified DMT/RHT program or Scenario Architect. Renew now, and the money is already working on what you do next.
Already finished your hours for this cycle?
Then buy now and finish later. The next Florida renewal cycle begins December 2, 2026. Courses purchased now and completed from that date forward apply to the next cycle, not this one — so nothing you buy today is wasted, and you are a cycle ahead instead of a cycle behind.
What is actually in it
A refresher is only worth the hours if the content is current. These are structured reviews of present-day prehospital practice, not a slideshow of the protocols you learned in school.
EMT Refresher — 40 hours
Patient assessment. Airway and respiratory emergencies. Cardiovascular emergencies. Medical emergencies. Trauma care. Special patient populations. EMS operations.
Paramedic Refresher — 60 hours
Airway and respiratory emergencies. Cardiovascular care. Medical emergencies. Trauma. Special patient populations. Operations. Delivered as individual modules across every major area of advanced prehospital medicine.
Florida Paramedic Refresher — 30 hours
Thirty hours of Florida approved continuing education for licensed paramedics, structured as a review of contemporary paramedic practice and reinforcing the clinical knowledge used in the field.
How it works
The classroom is the expensive part.
A two-day refresher is rarely two days. It is the drive, the hotel if the class is in another county, and the shift you gave up to sit in it. The course fee is the smallest number in that stack.
Online removes every line but the tuition. You work through it between calls, after shift, or on a day off, and you keep the shift you would have traded for a seat.
What comes with every refresher
Need a few hours, not a whole refresher?
Trilogy runs a library of individual continuing education courses from $19 — Florida specific topics, trauma, cardiology and resuscitation, airway, medical emergencies, operations, and special operations content you will not find in a standard CE catalog.
Common questions
Is this approved for Florida renewal?
Yes. Trilogy is a Florida licensed EMS training provider, #50-29993, and each refresher carries its own Florida approval and CE Broker course number.
Does it count for the National Registry?
The 40-hour EMT refresher provides 40 hours applicable toward NREMT EMT recertification. The 60-hour paramedic refresher is designed to meet NREMT Paramedic recertification education requirements.
Do I have to attend anything live?
No. There are no scheduled sessions, no webinars and no classroom days. You start when you enroll and work through it at your own pace.
When do I get my certificate?
On successful completion of the course. It is issued through the Trilogy platform and available to download.
