Description
Hemorrhage Control & Shock – EMT – T1 is an online EMT continuing education course from Trilogy EMS. Covers recognition and control of life-threatening hemorrhage using direct pressure, tourniquets, and wound packing, along with recognition and BLS management of major shock states.
This module is designed to reinforce knowledge and decision-making relevant to Emergency Medical Technicians working in the prehospital environment. Students review assessment priorities, recognition of important signs and symptoms, appropriate EMT-level interventions, communication, documentation, transport considerations and patient safety as they relate to the subject matter covered in this course.
The course emphasizes practical application of EMT concepts rather than isolated memorization. Content is intended to help students connect classroom knowledge with field assessment, clinical reasoning and safe patient management. The online format allows students to complete the module at their own pace through the Trilogy EMS learning management system.
This course may be completed as an individual continuing education module or as part of the Trilogy EMS EMT Refresher program. It is designed to support ongoing professional development and reinforce core knowledge used in contemporary EMS practice.
