Street Medicine (TECC) – Awareness Level Course
The Street Medicine (TECC) – Awareness Level Course is a 100% online, self-paced program designed specifically for EMTs, paramedics, and other EMS professionals who may be called upon to provide care in high-threat, dynamic, or resource-limited environments.
Built around the principles of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), this course introduces the concepts, priorities, and clinical considerations associated with caring for injured patients when the environment may complicate traditional EMS operations. Students explore how scene conditions, ongoing threats, limited resources, delayed evacuation, and operational constraints can influence patient assessment, treatment priorities, and responder decision-making.
The course provides foundational awareness of topics including threat-based care, hemorrhage control, airway and respiratory emergencies, shock, casualty assessment, evacuation considerations, responder safety, and the integration of TECC principles into civilian EMS operations.

Upon successful completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion identifying the course as Awareness Level training.
